Below are some commonly asked questions with regards to our printing services
Do you do tshirt/tote bag/signage/poster printing?
At Ink & Spindle our specialty is printing fabric by the metre, and our equipment is geared towards this sort of printing only. There are plenty of screen printers around town who can do placement printing for you. We are happy to recommend someone.
What are your minimums for yardage printing?
Please refer to the yardage printing section of this site.
How much does it cost to print per metre?
The cost varies depending on number of colours and quantity. Please contact us for a copy of our latest pricelist.
What sort of fabrics can you print on?
We can print on a wide range of fabrics, including medium to low stretch fabrics. Natural, non-synthetic fibres are best. Our pigment inks sit on the surface of the fabric, and are therefore less suitable for sheer fabrics than dye based inks.
How much would it cost to ship printed fabric to my country / address?
This very much depends on the weight of your fabric, but we have drawn up a chart based on 200gsm fabric which you can download here.
How do I prepare my artwork for printing?
You can download a series of templates & tutorials from our website to assist you in preparing your artwork for print.
Your templates are for Adobe Illustrator CS3 format only. Can I use Photoshop instead?
Preparing artwork for screen printing using Photoshop can be quite difficult unless you know what you're doing. If you have prior experience using Photoshop to create artwork for screen printing we are more than happy to accept Photoshop files from you. Please refer to our tutorial documents for the necessary artwork specs.
